Following Graduation I worked for GM and Chrysler for a couple of years. With the Draft hot on my heels I enlisted in the Air Force where I was an Aircraft Electrician. I spent a year in Vietnam and 2 years in Laredo Texas when I returned. I met my first wife in Laredo.
In 1972 I was discharged from the Air Force and started working for the Government in Ann Arbor. I was offered a position in Benton Harbor with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 1973, in 1974 we moved to Portage where my son was born in 1975 and in 1976 we moved to Battle Creek all with the FAA. In 1984 we transferred to West Germany and in 1986 we transferred to Sacramento, CA. In 1989 my first wife and I divorced and in 1992 I married my second wife Kathy.
In 1992 we returned to Germany where I was Avionics Supervisor with FAA Flight Inspection for 2-1/2 years, when that office was closed we went to Oklahoma City, OK. We lived in Edmund, OK for about 2 years before moving to Des Moines, IA. Three years later I transferred to Springfield, IL as Avionics Inspector for the FAA. (Whew!)
In 2004 I retired from the FAA and spent about two years being lazy then decided to get a part time job driving a School Bus. A couple of years ago I started substitute driving and still do that when Iím here.
We purchased a small place in the woods near Cadillac and we spend our summers there. Hobbies are you might guess if you knew me well, are motorcycles, and tinkering with hot automobiles (no not stolen).
I really havenít been in contact with any of you in 50 years with the exception of Sally whom I exchanged a couple of E-Mails with some years ago.
We hope to see you all this summer!
